Every year at Connect Training Conference, churches across Melbourne and interstate gather to connect with God's word and each other.
Over three days and two nights, over 200 Christians hear the Bible faithfully and systematically preached. In parallel with the main sessions, you'll be trained in strand groups to unpack the Bible and teach it to others.
Most importantly, CTC is an opportunity for the people of God to gather around his word, build each other up in love, and express gospel unity in the church – the epicentre of God's purposes in the world.
OUR 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY
This year, Connect Ministry celebrates 10 years of gospel ministry in Melbourne. It was founded to help local churches equip their leaders of today, find leaders for tomorrow and sustain them for life-long ministry. To that end, we have held a number of leadership conferences, day conferences and our flagship annual training conference. Over this time, God has graciously used us to equip hundreds of Christians to faithfully teach the Bible. Not only have many become more faithful leaders in their churches, some have even given up their careers to become full-time gospel workers. We are therefore realising our vision, but there is much work still to be done.
So, we would like to invite you to join us for our 10th Connect Training Conference with Mike Raiter this year. Mike was our first conference speaker back in 2009. At that time, he spoke from Luke’s Gospel. This year, we thought it apt to have him return for this milestone occasion as we consider what it means to be blessed from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’ Gospel.
Jesus begins the most famous sermon ever preached with the word, “Blessed”. The Sermon on the Mount is a powerful, penetrating and challenging exposition of the character of the Christian life. It tells us who we are as disciples of Christ. Jesus shows us the differences between a true and a phoney disciple, and the life and death consequences of being one or other.
